A PASSIONATE CANDIDATE

Justin Keiter is running for the 263rd Criminal District Court to continue to serve his community.  Born and raised in Houston, Justin spent over 11 years as an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County. During his time at the DA’s Office, Justin tried high profile cases that made local, national, and international news; including the successful conviction of Dr. Ana Maria Gonzalez Angulo for poisoning another doctor. Justin also successfully prosecuted Kelly Jo Ivey, the woman responsible for killing Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Jesse Valdez III.

Justin has tried violent sex offenders and some of the most violent gang members in Texas. Justin was the first prosecutor in Harris County to obtain a life sentence for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child. Justin has tried over 80 jury cases and is now in private criminal defense practice as the founder of The Keiter Law Firm, PLLC.

A TEXAN FAMILY MAN WHO CARES ABOUT YOU

Justin Keiter is a Republican who will enforce the law. His philosophy is the law really is black and white and the facts of every individual case provide the color. As Judge, Justin will ensure fairness and justice for both victims and the accused while making sure cases move along in an expeditious manner.

 

Justin graduated from Southern Methodist University with a double major, obtaining Bachelor of Art Degrees in political science and journalism. He went on to become an investigative reporter for KXXV in Waco where he covered President George W. Bush’s hometown of Crawford, Texas and was embedded with the military while covering detainees in Guantanamo Bay. Justin was also the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting.

Justin went on to graduate magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law Houston where he was an Assistant Articles Editor for the South Texas Law Review and a national moot court champion. He later served as an Adjunct Professor for mock trial at South Texas College of Law Houston. Justin teaches new cadets at the Houston Police Department Academy and teaches and trains senior police officers in 4th Amendment courses and racial profiling.
